Does God Feel My Pain?
.
The best way to answer this question is to read how Jesus treated hurting people when He was here on earth. Here are three examples from the Bible:

When Jesus was visiting a village in Galilee, a man with leprosy came to Him and begged on his knees to be healed. Not only was Jesus filled with compassion, but He reached out His hand and touched the man—something unheard of because leprosy was a contagious, deadly disease (Mark 1:40-42).

Another time Jesus was approaching a town and met a funeral procession at its entrance. The dead man's mother was there, grieving. She was a widow and this was her only son—so her grief was doubled. When Jesus saw her, "his heart went out to her and he said, 'Don't cry'" (Luke 7:11-13).

And when Jesus visited his friends Mary and Martha after the death of their brother, Lazarus, He was "deeply moved in spirit and troubled" when he saw Mary and others weeping. In fact, Jesus himself wept (John 11:17-36).

A Better World is Coming

These are just a few of the many stories that show Jesus as a compassionate, caring, and loving God. You may not understand all that happens in your life, but you can be assured that nothing goes unseen by Him.

In fact, it's because Jesus does see your struggles that He's preparing heaven for you. He reassures you, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms...I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am" (John 14:1-3 NIV).
